Chris Connor Wood Bicycles

 PC: Chris Connor

Meet Chris Connor, the owner and test pilot of Connor Wood Bicycles. Chris started building bikes out of a love for riding fun bikes and a passion for wood working.  Chris describes working with wood bikes as being able to design and build "rolling works of art."

Chris shared his enthusiasm for wood bikes and we couldn't agree more.

"Wood bikes are awesome! They are strong and lightweight and last for years and years.  Best of all, they have an amazing ride quality to them - they smooth out the trail and are unlike anything else out there rolling around. They have to be ridden to be believed."  Chris Connor

Chris builds a wide variety of bikes and has developed expertise in building mountain bikes.

WBS: What do you love most about building wood bicycles?

Chris: It is the best way to combine craftsmanship and performance in the world. There is no other magic quite as compelling as riding a beautiful wood bicycle in a beautiful setting.

WBS: What has been the biggest challenge / obstacle to success?

Chris: Wood bikes take a long time to build and design. Many people just don't believe that a wood bike can really work and therefore are sometimes hesitant to make the necessary financial commitment.  Of course, defying this misconception is so much of what makes riding a wood bicycle special.
